What do you think of a writer? I imagine many of you see a quirky recluse, hunched over a desk in some cabin, crumpled paper strewn about as they obsessively work on the next best seller. Yes?
That’s true but not true. Although, many writers are living the same life but time has changed, technology has changed our lives and now we have computers and gadgets. We could write without a pencil or a pen now anytime anywhere. Blogging has taken over the digital media and now literally everyone has become a writer. Me too 😛
Hi Everyone, I’m Waleed Khan. I haven’t decided yet what i am 🙂 but i do know i’m from Peshawar, Pakistan. If i had to write one sentence about me, that would be, ‘I am a jack of all trades but master in none’. To be honest! No shame!
My life started when i was a tiny young little child and since then I am living it through thick and thin. I’ve grown up so much 😀 that I’m 20 years old now plus add six more to it.
Let me continue my boring story. May be…
I don’t hate anything or anybody unless they bother me. I passionately learn new things and leave them in the middle. Very light-hearted and easy going but most of the time i prefer to be serious. I am a good listener and a not very good speaker.
Education? I have done Masters in Plant Breeding & Genetics (eee hehehe) I have no idea why. I never got any practical knowledge of it so I just fast forwarded that part.
My first God gifted skill that I got to know about was my ability to design, to draw or to illustrate. I always got an excellent in school for my excellent drawings ;). Later on in 2007, It got digital and I got to know about Adobe Photoshop when I was in 7th grade. I learned it from the manual that came with it, that’s awesome and it was version 7.0. I used to design wallpapers for my desktop and friends’ phones. I worked on it all the years then. Fast forward 2014 when I started freelance graphic designing and joined a digital marketing & PR agency, Blimp. During all these years, I have consistently worked on designs, either personal or commercial.
Cars! Bikes! Speed!
Even though I was born in a middle-class family, We had a car anytime. Because my father was and is a car enthusiast. What ever you wanna call him, a carnut, gearhead, motorhead or petrolhead but he really is. So from him, I inherited this love for cars and bikes. Although we couldn’t buy an expensive car or spent more dosh on cars but we still managed to customised our cars to the max we could. I learned general mechanics and driving from him. We changed more than 150 cars during the last 30 years. And that been said, every car came as a junk, overhauled, stayed a few weeks with us and then got sold.
Foodie? Yes I Am!
I Love Food! and who doesn’t? but not everyone are foodies. Because they eat for satisfying their hunger while I eat not just for satisfying my hunger but being an ardent. Being a Pakistani, I love Pakistani cuisine more as everyone loves their own cultural food more. And since Indian cuisine is no different than Pakistani cuisine so, Yes, Indian cuisine as well. But I am not a kind of person who sticks to only one thing, I would love to have a taste at least of all the food from around the world. Painda or Sohbat and Biryani are among my favourite Pakistani dishes. Chicken Chinese Soup and mantou of the Chinese Cuisine, Pasta, Pizza and Lasagne of the Italian cuisine, Fish and chips from the British cuisine, Olivier salad or Russian salad and Potato salad of the Russian cuisine are my favourite. More to come soon… 😉
